Friends Now a days every where you will find Beauty contests and such events and these contests are popular in many parts of the world. But I look at beauty contests as another form of exploitation of weaker sex. Our society is still male dominant and women are widely and openly discriminated in various subtle ways. They are
exposed to various subtle ways. I don’t oppose the contest but I oppose the way of organizing and competition procedure. Is it necessary to openly judge a women beauty from head to toe everything ,making 80% nude?

The male attitude and mindsets still a great road block in the emancipation and empowerment of women. Today woman’s beauty has become a commodity, a thing of fashion, show and mere means of male satisfaction, it is used for advertisement to boost sale and enlarge market. There is hardly any difference between a woman’s loveliness and a branded commodity. Beauty contests are held mainly for the purpose of aggressive marketing of certain products of the companies which are rich and profit making on a large scale, it is a subtle method of women’s exploitation and their commercialization.

If the contest organizers are so serious on the value of beauty and talent why to make a girl half nude and why judges are mainly men, can’t a woman judge other participant’s talent or beauty?
